Mustangs down south this weekend

The Melfort Mustangs are down south this weekend, as they take on the Estevan Bruins and the Weyburn Red Wings in a back-to-back.

Melfort will start tonight against the Bruins, who have struggled to start the year, having won just one of their first 10.

“They’re obviously not too high in the standings, but we don’t want to take them any less, and we just want to kind of play our game and take it from there,” explained forward Lincoln Rogers.

“As far as Weyburn is concerned, we’ve already seen them this year and obviously lost back at home, and had a bit less of a lineup, but no excuses. Obviously, they’re a great team, but I think we’re gonna be a bit more prepared this time, and we know what to expect, so I think it’s gonna be a pretty good game.”
