Death in Pelican Narrows being investigated as homicide: RCMP

Oct 31, 2026 | 11:04 AM

Saskatchewan RCMP are advising that there will be an increased police presence in Pelican Narrows for an undetermined amount of time as officials investigate a homicide.

Pelican Narrows RCMP were called to a home in the northern community at around 7 p.m. on Oct. 29 for a report of an injured man. Officers quickly found the victim suffering from serious injuries and was taken to hospital by local paramedics, where he later died.

He has since been identified as a 22-year-old from Pelican Narrows.

Police said his death is considered suspicious and that the RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit has since taken over the investigation.

Officers are now asking anyone who lives in the Pine Drive (also known as Rainbow Street), Nesoteo Road, and Noochemeek Place areas to check their home security cameras and doorbell cameras between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 29.

“If your device captured images or videos of suspicious activity, or if you witness any suspicious activity in the Pelican Narrows area, please report it to police immediately,” read the release.

No additional information was released, but updates will be added once they become available. Notifications will be sent out if an imminent risk to public safety is identified.

The investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 310-RCMP (7267).
