Hazel Mary Hawker (Wilson)
Hazel Mary Hawker was born February 17, 1920 at Spalding, SK. She passed away peacefully on January 23, 2019 with her son Lanny at her side.
Hazel was the daughter of William and Anna Wilson of Spalding, SK. She was the eldest daughter of eight children. Hazel took pride in keeping a nice yard, growing her garden and spent hour upon hour picking dandelions. She was an avid quilter and made numerous quilts out of every piece of fabric she had – all which were completely stitched and quilted by hand. Hazel enjoyed the visits and coffee with all her family and her Sunday morning routine with Lanny, Dianne, Troy, Melissa, great grandchildren Haley, Carter and daughter Diane (when she lived in Melfort).
Hazel lived in Parkland Place for the last three years and was known by many of the caregivers there for her humorous replies. She was very content there.
Hazel was predeceased by her father, mother, brothers Frank, Henry, Jack and sister Dorothy. She is survived by brothers Joe, Ben and sister Alice, sons Keith (Beth), Wade (Helen), Lanny (Dianne), daughter Diane, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
