Jean Green

Jean Louise Green, age 94, died peacefully at Parkland Place on December 16, 2018. Jean was pre-deceased by her husband Donald (2010) and daughter Beverly (1988).
Jean was born in Poland on August 13, 1924 and at the age of 3 years, immigrated to Canada on July 9, 1927. Her family settled near Nipawin, Saskatchewan. She married Donald Green in 1945 and moved to a farm near Brooksby, Saskatchewan where they raised their four children. In 1977, they moved to Melfort, Saskatchewan where they were heavily involved in the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Lutheran Church. Jean enjoyed sewing, baking and volunteering in the community.
Jean is survived by her children – Clair Green, Calgary, Alberta; Barb (Don) Camire, Parksville, British Columbia; and Dr. Brenda (Phil) Green-Racette, Regina, Saskatchewan. Jean has nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A private family funeral will be officiated by Father Nick and will be held in Melfort on December 19. A Celebration of Life will take place in the New Year. All arrangements have been made through the Melfort Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Parkland Place where mom spent the last five years of her life.
