Walter (Aaron) Peters age 85 went to be with his Savior August 22, 2018 with his partner in life by his side. Walter was born August 17, 1933 at the farm in Hepburn, SK. to David and Gertrude (Dyke) Peters. He was the fourth of seven children. Walter completed eighth grade at the Lost River School.
On March 27, 1960 he married Justine Doreen Penner. They were blessed to have two children, Bonnie and Kevin.
He was known to tell many a story of his escapades and experiences. He felt compelled to continually put pen to paper to have a written account of his life that his family is privileged to have.
Walter left his family home at 17 to work for George Thompson which inspired his extreme love of farming. He leaves his proud farming legacy to his son, Kevin and his wife, Sheila and their children Grant & Tyler. He took great pride in what his children and grandchildren accomplished and shared these stories with everyone.
He enjoyed many things outdoors such as camping, hunting, fishing, and traveling the northern parts of Saskatchewan. His various early jobs taught him the love of heavy equipment operation and working outdoors. After he retired from 40 years of farming he enjoyed reading voraciously, puzzling and gardening.
He was led to the Lord by witnessing the examples given to him by Bob Sauder and Victor Nickel of Carrot River. In later years when speaking about his search for the peace that was evident in these men’s lives he talked about feeling God’s grace. Through out his walk with the Lord he touched so many people with his positive example and created many precious memories that will be cherished all by who loved him. He leaves to mourn his wife of 58 years, Justine, daughter Bonnie (John) Klemens, his son
Kevin (Sheila) Peters; five grandchildren: Meagan, Jordyn, Christopher, Grant, Tyler and one great-grand-child, Keagan; three sisters Martha Penner, Lorna (John) Siemens and Leona (Melvin) Peters and their families. Even though his last days were filled with struggles and unending pain, we are assured that he is resting in the arms of Jesus.
