Humboldt RCMP investigating possible arson near Carmel

Humboldt RCMP and Humboldt Fire are investigating a structure fire suspected to be arson.

On Sept. 17, around 7:30 a.m., crews were called to an abandoned farmyard just south of Carmel at the junction of Highway 5 and the Carmel grid west of Humboldt.

A large, multi-level grain bin caught fire and became fully engulfed. As a result of the blaze, the barn and four grain bins were lost.

Nobody was injured in the fire.

Humboldt RCMP are asking anyone with information on the fire to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
