Melfort Rotary Club honours Gordon Little with tree planting
The Rotary Club of Melfort honoured one of their own on Tuesday, Sept. 29 with a tree planting ceremony at Rotary Park.
Gordon Liddle passed away on Sept. 30, 2019 and was an active Rotarian, and active community member. Current President Mona Graham said the idea to plant a tree from the District Governor. Graham said Liddle was the epitome of what being a Rotarian means.
“Our motto is ‘Service Above Self,'” she said. “And Gordon exemplified that, he lived his life by that, and if all Rotarians were like him, we would accomplish so much more.”
