Lawyer practicing in Melfort named President of Law Society of Saskatchewan
A local lawyer has been named the President of the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
Foluke Laosebikan, who is the proprietor of FLK Law Firm in Melfort, has been named the head of the organization after being a Bencher since 2017.
“It’s a good feeling, and it’s also a feeling of responsibility at the same time,” Laosebikan told northeastNOW. “There’s a lot of responsibility attached to it.”
Laosebikan started practicing in Canada in 2011 after obtaining a number of degrees in Nigeria and South Africa. She was also a professor for a period of time in South Africa prior to moving to Melfort in 2004.
