Birch Hills senior set to play college ball
Regardless of what happens this year as a result of COVID, Levi Rask at least has the certainty his basketball career will not end when he graduates this June from Birch Hills school.
The 17-year-old has agreed to play for Briercrest Bible College next season, located in Caronport.
“It means a lot; especially after my Grade 11 basketball season got cut short and now this season, it’s kind of unsure what’s gonna happen,” he said.
Rask said the cancellation of the season last year and the uncertainty surrounding this season, has been really hard on the entire team, having to missing out on a possible HOOPLA run two years in a row. Darren Rask played the role of coach and father the past four years, and expressed excitement about his son’s achievement.
