Fatal Highway 35 crash

Collision near Tisdale claims life

UPDATE: The RCMP are reporting as of 2:10 p.m. this afternoon the highway has been reopened.

Tisdale RCMP responded to a fatal two vehicle crash 2.5 miles north of Tisdale on Highway 35 this morning at 6:30 a.m.

A 65-year-old male was declared deceased at the scene and an adult female was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A northbound SUV collided with a westbound truck coming off a grid road that crosses Highway 35.

The Department of Highways, EMS, and the Tisdale Fire Department were on the scene.

The highway is currently closed and Tisdale RCMP said traffic will be diverted around the area for the rest of the day while officers conduct an investigation.
