Humboldt Broncos forward Reid Arnold will be playing college hockey in North Dakota.

Arnold has committed to play for Minot State University for the 2021-22 season.

“Minot has a very good hockey program,” Arnold said. “It will test my skill level. The school side was more important for me. That’s why I chose Minot State University. I’ve heard great things about the school. I’m very excited to go down there.”

The Nipawin product played 122 games for the Broncos over the last three seasons and finished with 15 goals and 25 assists.

“I was very honoured putting that jersey on every game,” Arnold said. “It was a big achievement in my life. My time in Humboldt was a really good experience. I met some really great people that I will know for the rest of my life. They are very genuine people.”

Arnold never missed a game during his Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League career.

“It’s a really good league in Saskatchewan if you want to get to the next level,” Arnold added. “People overlook it. It was really cool playing in all the smaller communities around Saskatchewan.”

Arnold will be studying kinesiology at Minot State University.

“I’m just really fascinated by the body,” Arnold said. “That’s what I’m intrigued by. I’m excited for the road ahead.”
