Kevin Rogers passed away peacefully at Melfort Union Hospital on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from his fight with pancreatic cancer. He was born to Ernie and Beryl Rogers on May 15, 1967 at the Melfort Hospital.
He attended school in Melfort at which time he received the nickname “Rocky”. In his youth he participated in many activities – skating, 4-H, skiing, football, dirt biking, snowmobiling, and human target practice with his pellet gun. Upon graduating from high school, he headed to the rigs to work to fulfill his dream of operating his own farm. Kevin took great pride in his farm over the past 30 plus years. He was always up for sharing his farming knowledge with his nephews – what to do or not to do and ideas for the future.
Kevin enjoyed the simple pleasures in life – spending time with friends and family, either over a cup of coffee or an enjoyable cold beverage (bud light) in the shop. He was always available to take a phone call or would call to just check-in to visit. Kevin was always there to listen, bullsh^t, and give advice as needed, especially to his nephews and nieces. Uncle teased them that they, maybe it was just Dusty, were always out to get him but he knew they would do anything for him. He enjoyed travel whether it was crop checking, out for an afternoon drive, or trips to Cuba, Brazil, and Hawaii to name a few – always enjoying his traveling companions.
His friendly smile will always be remembered by many, as he touched so many lives with his acts of kindness expecting nothing in return. A true friend.
Kevin will be sadly missed by family Karen (Warren) – Wyatt (Bethany), Dustin (Jenna) – Aubrey, Kayla and Kent (Richelle) – Kody and Kenzie-Rae, numerous other family members, and special family friends Daren and Amanda Mudrik. Along with many, many, many friends.
Kevin’s Celebration of Life Service will be held from the Evangelical Covenant Church, Melfort, on Sunday, November 14, 2021 with Pastor Kevin Shiach officiating. A Family interment will take place at a later date.
For those unable to attend the funeral in person, the service will be livestreamed. To watch Kevin’s service or to leave condolences for the Family, please visit his online guestbook at www.fedusiakfuneralchapel.com.
