NEOSS bringing back Dancing with the Stars event

A big fundraiser for North East Outreach Support Services (NEOSS) will return this fall.

The fourth annual winter gala held put on by NEOSS in Naicam will present Dancing with the Stars, season three.

NEOSS Executive Director Louise Schweitzer said they are in the early planning stages but are looking to the community for volunteers.

They are currently in need of dancers, help, and sponsors for the event.

The call for dancers has been underway for a little while and they hope to have six to eight couples on board.

“We are very excited to say that we are bringing the event back,” Schweitzer said. “We encourage anyone that is interested in participating to give us a call.”

The special Naicam version of Dancing with the Stars has seen over 200 people in attendance each year since its inception four years ago.

“We are looking forward to another sold out crowd, whether it be a Christmas party or what have you, it’s an amazing event,” Schweitzer said.

The event supports the women’s shelter in the region and is the largest fundraiser held in the Naicam service area by NEOSS.

Also coming up for the organization this month is Walk a Mile in her Shoes event in Tisdale. Registration is still open and accepted the day of the walk.
