St. Brieux man sentenced after investigation revealed possession of firearms and drugs

A man from St. Brieux has been charged after search warrants executed in the area revealed he was in possession multiple firearms and drugs.

On Feb. 9, Barkley Swenson was sentenced to one year in jail. He has also been sentenced to one year of driving prohibition and two years of probation following his detention period.

On Dec. 8, 2020, RCMP in Melfort, Tisdale and Smeaton executed two search warrants with the help of Prince Albert RCMP Police Dog Service and Saskatchewan RCMP Legal Application Support Team.

During the investigation, firearms, weapons, methamphetamine and stolen items were found.
