Anglers: Look Out for Prussian Carp in Saskatchewan

Attention Anglers: please be on the lookout for invasive Prussian carp in Saskatchewan.

The first report of one being caught by rod and reel this season just came in (Lake Diefenbaker).

Identification:- large scales; compressed “dinner plate” body.- relativey small, max. of 4 lbs.- forward facing mouth (not a sucker mouth)- no barbels or “whiskers” on the face

If caught:- email reportinvasivecarp@swf.sk.ca.- take photos and submit with report.

Humanely kill the fish; do not release.-
