Third plane carrying displaced Ukrainians to arrive in Regina this month
A third humanitarian flight carrying displaced Ukrainians is expected to arrive in Saskatchewan at the end of the month.
According to the provincial government, registration is now open for the flight, which is expected to carry about 200 displaced Ukrainians and is expected to touch down in Regina on Oct. 25.
This will be the third such flight to arrive in the province since Russia invaded Ukraine in February, and is organized in partnership with Solidaire and Open Arms, humanitarian organizations that helped bring the previous flights to Saskatchewan.
“The Government of Saskatchewan along with our municipalities, businesses and residents remain steadfast in our support for the people of Ukraine as they continue to suffer through this terrible ordeal,” Harrison said in a statement.
