Dad was the 4th child born to John and Greta, on the family farm. Dad learned about hard work at a young age that followed him throughout his life. Dad had a great work ethic that he passed on to his daughters and grandsons. Dad retired from mining in Flin Flon, MB in 1992. Dad moved to his beloved acreage where many family holidays were spent, and many memories were made.
Dad had a deep love of family, but his girls were his world (and him ours). He was proud of the women we had become but we were always his “girls”. He had great pride in his 7 grandsons and 3 great grandchildren.
Dad leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life his three daughters: Ellen (Paul), Laura (Dana), Trudy; seven grandsons: Kyle, Aaron (Marian), Luke, Ron (Julie), Geoff (Kendra), Spencer (Christine) and Andrew; three great grandchildren: Anakin, Evie and Logan; sister Rose, brother-in-law Clifford and many nieces and nephews.
Dad died as he lived, privately, so at Dads request there will be no formal funeral service. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Zion Cemetery Fund.
The family would like to thank Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino for the care and compassion they showed dad.
Dad, you may be gone but will never be forgotten ‘til we meet again…
