New councillor brings economic development interest to seat
The newest member of Carrot River’s municipal council won his seat by a single vote in a three-person race.
Evan Wolowski will fill the seat left vacant by the resignation of Chad Trombley, beating both Kendall Friske and Candace Panchyshyn.
“It was pretty exciting to see that,” said Wolowski. “It was definitely a close race. I know everyone running so it was pretty humbling.”
He decided to run for council based on being part of the Economic Development Board with Trombley, whom he gave full credit for his time on council.
