Mustangs begin first losing streak of season after back-to-back losses against Melville
For the first time this SJHL season, the Melfort Mustangs have played multiple games in a row, without registering a win.
The Mustangs lost back-to-back games at the hands of the Melville Millionaires, after a 4-3 loss on Saturday in Melfort, before a 5-3 loss Tuesday night in Melville.
For the Stangs, who began the season 7 and 0, they have now lost three of their last five games, and according to assistant coach Tye Scherger, they’re just simply not playing good enough to win.
“I thought overall, obviously wasn’t a good game, I thought we came out flat and we continued to play flat the whole game, just not enough jam, obviously not the way we want to play, so it’s pretty frustrating, but we got back to work,” he told northeastNOW.
