Free rapid-access counselling for youth offered in Humboldt
Youth in the Humboldt area will now be able to access free rapid-access counselling.
The Government of Saskatchewan announced on Tuesday that Family Service Saskatchewan would be expanding its counselling program into the community. This is part of the $1.7 million in new annual funding the organization is getting from the province.
“Today’s expansion means that children and youth in Humboldt who are facing mental health challenges will be able to access counselling services in a timely way,” said Donna Harpauer, deputy premier and the MLA for Humboldt-Watrous. “Expanding capacity to get more people the help they need is a key focus of our new action plan for mental health and addictions.”
PARTNERS Family Services will be providing the counselling on behalf of Family Service Saskatchewan.
