Hawks clip Red Wings 4-2

The Nipawin Hawks improve to 11-3-1-1 on the season following a 4-2 win over Weyburn Red Wings Friday night.

The Hawks scored four unanswered goals before Weyburn responded in the third period with a pair of their own.

Austin Mikesch and Chad McCartney each had a goal and an assist for the Hawks, and goaltender Declan Hobbs faced 24 shots for the win.

The Hawks will travel to Midale Saturday to face the Notre Dame Hounds. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
