Man injured in snowmobile crash

A snowmobiler is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash near Weldon.

Both Melfort EMS and the Melfort fire department were dispatched to the scene on Highway 3 just before 6 p.m. Monday. A spokesperson with Fire said the man was snowmobiling through a field when he drove over a guy-wire possibly attached to a power poll.  

The man was transported to a Prince Albert hospital, he’s since been taken to a hospital in Saskatoon. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
