Some big changes have been announced for the Melfort Journal, Nipawin Journal and Northeast Sun.

The parent company, Postmedia, announced the printing of the papers will be moved to the company's facility in Saskatoon. The change will take place over the next couple weeks.

northeastNOW reached out to Postmedia for comment and received an email response.

"It is a cost initiative. We have outsourced or consolidated printing operations in several other of our locations as well over the past few years," Phylisse Gelfand, vice-president of communications, said in the statement.

Gelfand said 15 full and part time jobs are affected by the change, and have all been offered a combination of working notice and severance, based on how long they have been employed with the company.
