RCMP investigating after man struck on highway near Englefeld

Police are seeking the public’s help in investigating a serious collision involving a man who was struck on a highway.

Humboldt RCMP were dispatched around 10:45 p.m. Friday night after a 20-year-old man was hit on Highway 5 near Englefeld. He was transported by STARS ambulance to the Saskatoon Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators said the man was lying on the travelled portion of the highway before the incident, but it is unclear why he was there.

Humboldt RCMP, Lanigan RCMP, a forensic collision reconstructionist and the Englefeld Fire Department assisted on scene.
