Humboldt Broncos gain more players in dispersal draft

Jun 12, 2018 | 6:57 AM

The Humboldt Broncos continue to heal and rebuild as they prepare to return to the ice next season.

On April 6, a bus carrying the junior hockey team to a playoff game in Nipawin collided with a semi-trailer north of Tisdale. Sixteen people died and 13 others were injured in the crash.

Over the weekend, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) held a dispersal draft to provide additional players for the team.

In total, 10 players were reallocated from other SJHL teams.
