‘It’s exciting every single time’ says Nipawin principal on graduation day

Fifty-six young adults walked across the stage to receive their diploma at L.P. Miller Comprehensive School’s graduation ceremony.

Students attend L.P. Miller from Grade 7-12, but as Principal Cory Froehlich told northeastNOW, the staff knows them from the beginning of their education.

“It’s kind of like a harvest for the teachers as we get to see our kids walk across the stage,” Froehlich said.

For Froehlich, it’s his eighth graduation ceremony as L.P. Miller principal, although he said the appeal for grad never gets old.

“It is exciting every single time,” Froehlich said. “Every child brings a special part with them and it’s fantastic to see the excitement and thrill as they move through this milestone of their life.”

Whether they attend post-secondary, work in the trades, or enter the workforce, Froehlich said he hopes to see a few students come back to visit L.P. Miller whenever they have time in between exploring the world around them.
