Melfort’s ‘Touch a Truck’ back for second year

Aug 16, 2018 | 2:13 PM

A popular type of hands-on event is taking place in Melfort for its second year, after last year’s event was well received.

‘Touch a Truck’ brings in vehicles which aren’t always available to tour such as tractors, excavators, and street sweepers, for families to look at, touch, and even climb.

The event runs from 3-8 p.m. Aug. 16 at Melfort Mall. Organizer Chris Corbegg told northeastNOW the Melfort Business Revitalization Committee wanted to keep the event in one space, as opposed to last year being more spread out.

“The idea is to give everyone a different experience and allow people to check out some of the different business at the mall and the north end of town,” Corbegg said.
