An important meeting tonight in Choiceland.

The Rural Municipality of Torch River No. 488 is looking for input regarding the future of their solid waste management.

Reeve Jerry Kindrat said they are facing some tough decisions.

"Council is looking, from the R.M. of Torch River, for a sense of direction for the landfill," Kindrat said. "Our cell is becoming full to capacity in a short time, and expansion is very expensive for joining adjacent landfill authorities it all costs a lot of money."

Kindrat said council wants to spend ratepayers money wisely, and they need their feedback and ideas.

"It's an informational meeting only and we have fact sheets at the Elks Memorial Hall in Choiceland," Kindrat said. "Everybody is welcome. I want it to be an informal (meeting), ask a lot of questions, and get some constructive ideas."

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.
