Ducks Unlimited hosting fundraising banquet

A chance to support Ducks Unlimited in Melfort.

The group is holding its 38th Annual Fundraising Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Kerry Vickar Centre.

“We do the function in order to raise funds, so Ducks Unlimited can carry on their wetland conservation projects in our area,” Treasurer Wes Moldowan said.

Tickets are still available for the banquet.

“Last year we were, or last two years, we were a sellout, so tickets can go fast in the last week for the event,” Moldowan said. “They are $50 per person, and it’s a prime rib supper, a very excellent supper, at our event.”

Moldowan said supporting Ducks Unlimited is important.

“Their projects help improve our water systems, our wildlife, and waterfowl habitats and it helps just to improve the environment overall,” he said.

The banquet consists of auctions, raffles, and a supper.
