Reducing greenhouse gases

Nov 16, 2018 | 2:00 PM

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions will be the focus of three research projects.

University of Saskatchewan researchers in the College of Agriculture and Bioresources, the School of Environment and Sustainability and the Global Institute for Water Security will receive $3.4 million to study forages in grazing systems, shelterbelts and agricultural water reservoirs.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is funding the projects through the Agricultural Greenhouse Gases program, which supports methods to mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and development of on-farm technologies to reduce the farming industry’s GHG.
