The Town of Nipawin approved a deal with Nipawin Events Inc. (NEI) which will see the town host Professional Bull Rider Canada’s Nipawin RONA PBR classic event for three more years.

Council voted unanimously to approve the deal during its meeting on Tuesday, Dec.11, to allow the PBR classic to take place at the Centennial Arena from 2019 to 2021.

NEI will pay the Town of Nipawin $567 to rent Centennial Arena for the day of the PBR classic, and $125 for each of the seven days leading up to the event.

Mayor Rennie Harper and chief administrative officer Barry Elliott signed the deal on behalf of the Town of Nipawin.
