A jolly good time coming to Melfort

Families have a chance to hang out with Kris Kringle in Melfort this weekend.

“This Sunday at the Northern Lights Palace arena, we are hosting ‘Skate with Santa’, this will be 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.,” said recreation and aquatic manager, Shannon Marshall. “Santa’s going to bring some guests with him, so he’s got two elves from the North Pole, we have Elsa, Olaf, Spiderman and Superman.”

The event is free of charge, and participants get free hot chocolate and cookies.

Marshall said you can show your Christmas spirit by helping those in need.

“We are accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper, or cash donations,” said Marshall.
