Hudson Bay has been crowned sled town of Saskatchewan.

The final round of provincial voting of the Snow Riders West Magazines competition pitted the Hudson Bay area against the Pasquia Snow Goers.

The sled town showdown semi-final is now underway with Hudson Bay in contention with Flin Flon, Man.

CAO for Hudson Bay, Richard Doleszar, said it feels good to move on in the contest.

“Hudson Bay area has won a number of awards over the years for snowmobile trail destination and it’s part of our winter tourism product that we are very proud of,” Doleszar said.

Tumbler Ridge, B.C. is up against Edson, Alta. as well, with the top two moving on to the final.

Voting for the fifth round is underway and runs into the beginning of January.

“I feel comfortable to ask the entire province and for sure the entire northeast region here to get online and vote for Hudson Bay and northeast Saskatchewan as their favorite sledtown destination,” Doleszar said.
