Garbage bin fire in Melfort

A garbage receptacle has been destroyed by fire in Melfort.

Fire crews were called to the fire in the 200 block of Bemister Ave. W. just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Melfort Fire and Rescue posted on their Facebook page that the quick actions of citizens and fire crews helped prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent property.

The fire is believed to be accidental.
