SJHL president disappointed, not concerned after players left off World Junior A Challenge

Dozens of the best Junior A hockey players from Canada, the United States, Russia, and Czech Republic will show off their skills starting Dec. 9 in Bonnyville, Alberta.

Unfortunately for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), none of its players will be participating.

Ray Whitton has only been the executive director of Futuristic Industries in Humboldt since Dec. 3 but has been welcomed by the staff with open arms.

Nipawin council votes to raise some facility rates

Residents and tourists who use some of the Town of Nipawin’s facilities can expect to see a rate increase in the new year.

Nipawin council voted to approve rate increases for the Jubilee and Centennial Arenas, cemetery, playfields, and the Swimming Pool at Central Park.
