Call for Artists:
“Truth and Reconciliation in our Community”
A Community Art Show
The La Ronge Arts Council invites you to make a visual art piece in response to your feelings on “Truth and Reconciliation in our Community.” The exhibit is open to all members of the Lac La Ronge Tri Community area. It will hang from September 1 to September 30.
Your Inspiration: What does truth and reconciliation mean to you? What do you think about our community response to reconciliation? Your thoughts will vary of course, depending on your point of view and your personal story. Are you of aboriginal ancestry? An immigrant? Do you have a political, social, environmental, or any other particular view you would like to express? Are you willing to share it?
Your Art: This can be anything visual, in the medium of your choice … photographs, beadwork, sculpture, collage, fabric, drawing, painting, lino-cuts, etc. Work is limited to two pieces per artist.
