Barrett met the love of his life Millisa in 2006 and the two started dating when Barrett was 15 and Millisa 13. The two remained together for the next 18 years and married in 2022 in Melfort.
Barrett and Millisa moved to Prince Albert together in 2011, where they lived until 2014. It was during their time in Prince Albert that they gave birth their first son Jace in 2014. During his time in Prince Albert, Barrett worked at Butterwick Brothers as a carpenter for three years. In 2014, Barrett and Millisa moved to Melfort and welcomed their daughter Addison into the world in 2019 and son Declan in 2020.
He started working at 5 Point Contracting in 2016 where he remained working until the time of his passing. During his years with 5 Point, Barrett’s relationship with his colleagues quickly turned from co-workers to friends, to family. Barrett attended SIAST and completed his fourth year of carpentry in 2024.
Barrett became a strong believer in God and held his faith close to his heart. He was a hard working man devoted to his wife and children. Barrett’s family were the light of his life and he would stop at no end to support them and make them happy. He was a man of many words and your visits with him would often end in laughter and words of encouragement. Barrett played soccer throughout his youth in Prince Albert and would dominate any field he stepped on. He also spent many hours of his youth at the skate park and downtown Melfort rollerblading, biking and skateboarding. Barrett was a true athlete and would excel at anything he tried. He continued his passion of fitness all the way into his adult life and would workout on a daily basis and never missed an opportunity to flex his pipes for you. Barrett had the biggest smile and the most contagious laugh that would fill your heart with joy. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met and his presence will never be forgotten. Rest easy BTR.
