Barry Nordin

Barry Michael Nordin was born on October 18, 1950 in Kinistino, Saskatchewan and after a very brief stay at the Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino he passed away peacefully on March 15, 2019. Barry was predeceased by his parents Wilfred in 2001, Ruth (Edeen) in 2004 and brother Brian Nordin in 2005.
Barry is survived by his sister Pat (Kurt) Sawatzky and nephews Mark and Kevin Sawatzky and their families; as well as extended family including aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
Barry grew up on the farm northeast of Kinistino attending the Haggstrom country school to grade 4 and then by bus to Kinistino for his remaining public school and high school. Barry studied engineering, computers and robotic technology. He worked for a few years with the Saskatchewan Highways Department and then for Industrial Automated Systems (IAS) building computer controlled robotic machines for use in copper mining.
Barry spent many hours reading books especially about science fiction and outer space. He also enjoyed building, programing and playing on computers.
