It is with great sadness that the family of Beatrice Panchyshyn announces her peaceful passing on June 25, 2020 at the age of 87. Beatrice was born on February 19, 1933 in Saskatoon City Hospital and grew up and resided in the Brooksby area. She attended school in Brooksby and dedicated most of her life to farming with her brother Andrew and caring for her mother Annie. After retiring from farming, Beatrice moved with her mother into Brooksby and later to Melfort to experience city life. Beatrice was a kind and compassionate woman and a dedicated member of her church. She enjoyed a good game of cribbage or Yahtzee, spent countless hours decorating pysanka, and had a passion for sewing that could put any seamstress to shame. She took pride in her family and loved to fill their freezers with perogies any chance she had. And we can’t forget how much she enjoyed the company and coffee breaks with her many close friends.
Beatrice will be fondly remembered by her sister, Nettie, brothers Adam and Joe (Linda), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Annie and John; siblings Andrew, Frank, Eric, Jean and Peter.
The Funeral Service for Beatrice was held from the Fedusiak Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 29, 2929 qt 10:30 AM with Father Patrick Powalinsky and Father Deacon Vasyl Maskal officiating. The interment followed in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Melfort.
