He was born on August 3, 1946 to Oscar and Anna Olson of Pleasantdale. He was the third of five children.
In 1969 he married his life long partner of 55 years Dianne Holoien. To this union two sons were born, Craig and Cordelle.
Blaines choice of vocations took him to a number of places. His first was to Northern Auto Parts, followed by Fort Ignition, Napa and Prairie North Co-op for 23 years. He so enjoyed getting on the lawn mower and cutting grass at the church and a few other places that were needed.
The last year of his life his health began to fail. He was diagnosed with Cancer in early March of this year, followed by months in the hospital going through treatments.
