Brenda Marie Simon (nee Pearson) was born on May 9, 1964 to Peter (Walter) and Ellen Pearson. She was the fourth oldest of six children. She grew up in Melfort, SK.
On August 31, 1991, she married the love of her life, Craig Steven Simon. They had three beautiful daughters: Rhea, Megan, and Nicole. She enjoyed raising her daughters and watching them grow.
She had a rewarding career as a Continuing Care Assistant. She worked many years as a CCA and made many lifelong friends along the way.
In her spare time she enjoyed watching the latest show or movie. She enjoyed spending as much time at the cabin at Candle Lake. While at the lake, she enjoyed boating, lounging on the beach, or sitting by the fire. In recent years, she loved to travel. She went to the Dominican Republic and Cuba. She had the time of her life there. She also enjoyed hosting gatherings with friends or family. Many times you could find her on the deck with her favourite beverage (vodka and orange or Pilsner).
She was greeted into the afterlife by her parents Walter and Ellen, her brother Lori Pearson and her sister Donna Derksen. Plus many other relatives and beloved pets.
She had to leave behind her husband Craig, her daughters: Rhea (Mark), Megan (Evan) and Nicole, her brothers: Brian Pearson and Garry Pearson, her sister Sharon (Rick) Prytula, and her brother-in-law Abe Derksen. Her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her special dog Indy and cat Keiko as well. Plus everyone else that knew and loved her.
Brenda’s family would like to extend special thanks to Melfort Home Care for the excellent care she received, and to the Melfort Hospital for the care while she was a patient there. We would also like to thank Dr. Strydom for all the help and care provided to Brenda and her family. As well as anyone else who helped along the way.
A Celebration of Brenda’s Life was held from the Melfort Evangelical Covenant Church, Melfort, on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kors Pater officiating. The interment will take place in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.
