Diane Elizabeth (nee LaDuke) Nymon was born on March 1, 1945 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
Diane was raised by her grandparents, William and Ruby Tatlow, after the passing of her father, Michael LaDuke. She grew up on their farm near Love, Saskatchewan, along with her 2 sisters and many aunts and uncles. Her brother, William, also lived close by with their Aunts in White Fox.
After meeting and marrying Donald Nymon on April 17, 1965, Diane and Don settled on the farm near Aylsham, SK where she enjoyed her career at the Nipawin Medical Clinic and then later at the Carrot River Medical Clinic. They had two children, Joanne and Patricia (Patti). She loved to garden, had a passion for movies and television shows, and enjoyed canning, baking and knitting.
When they decided to move off the farm, Don and Diane settled in Star City which was their home ever since. The two had a food truck for a few summers and would supply the local auctions with tasty hamburgers and homemade pies. Diane also worked at the Melfort Co-op in the deli until she decided to retire. After retirement, Diane had a table of baking for sale every Christmas season in the Melfort Mall which allowed many to taste her incredible treats.
Diane was predeceased by her husband, Donald Nymon; father, Michael LaDuke; brother William LaDuke; sister Marlene Paradis, and niece Shawna LaDuke.
Diane is survived by her daughter Joanne Penner (Byron), grandson Kyle Penner (Jennine McDermid); daughter Patricia Nymon (Kevin); and sister Ruby Stoppler (nephew Boyd, niece Pam), as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.
A service will be held at a later date with interment to take place in the Aylsham Cemetery.
