Once all 6 children were in school Dorothy returned to teaching in the fall of 1967 and taught Kindergarten in Melfort at Burke, Brunswick and Reynolds School for 10 years.
In September 1999 Dorothy and Andrew retired, leaving the farm, and moving to Diefenbaker Place in Melfort, SK. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage until Andrew’s passing on February 19, 2006.
Dorothy was a loving teacher, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. She enjoyed gardening, embroidering, reading, crossword puzzles and a good cup of tea with friends and family.
