Eileen Beatrice Louise Chamberlin (nee Clark) was born on December 25, 1932 to Lewis and Beatrice Clark at the homestead of her grandparents Gus and Mary Yeo. She was the eldest of two daughters from this union. In 1935 her dad left in search of work and never returned. Eileen would later learn that he remarried and she had 9 half siblings, 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Eileen was raised by her mother and grandparents on her grandparents homestead in the Barford district. Her mother passed away from cancer in 1955. Eileen married Russell Budd in 1957 and they had two children, Leonard born in 1958 and Eldon born in 1961. Russell passed away in 1965. Eileen remarried in 1969 to George Chamberlin and they moved to George’s farm in the Beech Grove district. In 1971 their son Ronald was born. George and Eileen remained on the farm until 2003 when they moved into an apartment in Tisdale. In May 2009 George passed away and in the fall of that year Eileen moved in to Cedar Villa where she resided until the time of her passing.
Eileen was very active in the community and church. She was an avid gardener, a beautiful quilter and an excellent cook and baker. She took part in almost all of the activities in her building, rarely missing a card or shuffleboard game. As much as Eileen loved all of these hobbies and activities her greatest love was her family. She loved her sons and grandson more than anything. Her family was priority and they meant everything to her and she to them.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, first husband Russell Budd, second husband George Chamberlin, son Leonard Budd, sister Edith Abel, and half brothers Arnie and Gary Clark, as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Eldon Budd and Ronald Chamberlin, grandson Mitchell Budd, half sisters Margaret, Betty, Judy, Elsie and Linda, half brothers Gordon and Bob; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
