Erwin Daniel Mayerle

Erwin Daniel Mayerle, age 83, passed away June 26, 2026. He was born July 31, 1942, in Tisdale, SK to Gottlob and Freda Mayerle. Erwin was the youngest of five children and was raised on the farm where he lived most of his life. Erwin attended grade school at New Market School just three miles from the farm, later attending high school in Tisdale through grade 10 and then Grade 11 and 12 at Caronport High School. He attended one year of Bible school at Briercrest Bible College before attending University of Saskatchewan, graduating with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. He married the love of his life, Lynn Mayerle in 1967. Lynn and Erwin lived in Saskatoon in the winter and Tisdale in the summers until 1970 when Erwin began farming full-time. Their son, Kris was born in 1970 followed by a daughter, Lorrae in 1972. Erwin loved to farm and was a Pedigreed Seed Grower for 59 years. Erwin enjoyed spending time at Waskesui and Greenwater and wintering in Arizona. He loved to go to Hawaii and snorkel, while Lynn watched from the beach. Erwin loved to spend time with his family and was generous with his time and patience.He was a man of deep faith, embodying a profound trust in God in all he did. Erwin leaves behind a family he dearly loved – son Kris (Rhonda, and their children, Janelle and Rebecca) and daughter Lorrae (Chris and their children, Merisa and Kalder) Mattix; sister Lydia; brother Bernard (Sheila) and numerous other family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Lynn, brothers Ted (Elaine) and Victor (Mildred) and his parents, Gottlob and Freda Mayerle.
