Gladys Elaine Anderson

1926 – 2026

Elaine Anderson passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert on May 3rd, 2026 at the age of 100 years with family by her side.

Elaine was born in Hazenmore, SK and was raised in Star City. After graduating from secretarial school in Saskatoon, she began her career and married Lloyd Anderson in Star City.

Elaine lived a simple life. She was very proud of the many jobs she held over the years as a secretary and executive assistant. She and Lloyd moved to Chicago where she held a number of jobs over the ten years they resided there, before moving back to Canada to London, Ontario. She loved Ontario but the prairies came calling, moving Lloyd and Elaine back to the farm in Star City where they resided until Lloyd’s health concerns moved them to Melfort. Upon Lloyd’s passing, Elaine made the decision to move to Prince Albert in 2018 to be closer to family.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Anderson, father and mother-in-law Oscar and Adele Anderson and brothers-in-law Jack, Fred, Allan and Sigurd. Her mother and father J. Bidwell and Gladys Pearl (nee Patterson) Tucker. Siblings Kenneth (Mavis) Tucker, Mildred Carr, Boyd Tucker, infant sister Georgia Tucker and nephew-in-law Jack Travares.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Shirley Tucker, nieces and nephews Maureen (Harold) DeYoung, Diane (David Walters) Tucker, Douglas (Nola) Tucker, Dara Carr, Charles Carr, Richard Carr, Andrew Carr, Trent (Michelle Comeau) Tucker, Dana Tucker, Brad Tucker and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Elaine will be fondly remembered for her storytelling, humour and unique outlook on life. At Elaine’s request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.

Elaine’s family is grateful to the staff of Good Shepherd Villas and Victoria Hospital for the kindness and compassion shown to her while in their care. Arrangements entrusted to Fedusiak Funeral Chapel & Crematorium (306)752-3838.
