Henry Shirran

It is with great sadness, the family announce the passing of Henry Jacob Shirran on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
Henry, the youngest of four children, was born September 17, 1955 at Melfort, Sk. to John and Bea Shirran.
Henry was predeceased by his father John, his sister Beverley Wynnyczenko, his nephews: Adam Shirran and Stephen Duesener and his mother-in-law Esther Ryhorchuk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Daphne, his ‘boychild’ son Mike (Amanda), his mother Bea Shirran, his sister Shirley (John) Duesener, his brother George, his sister-in-law Denise Shirran and his brother-in-law Walter Wynnyczenko. He is also survived by Daph’s brothers: Garry (Bev), Kubi (Sandra) and sisters: Linda (Hugh) MacLeod and Sharon (Vern) Sullivan and his many nieces and nephews.
Henry spent most of his working career in the transportation industry. As a driver with STC, he achieved the Safe Driver Award for 1,000,000 miles – a proud achievement for Henry. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, skiing, golf and motorcycling – meeting and making many friends along the way. His pleasant manner, warm smile and twisted sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him.
A service celebrating Henry’s life was held from the Fedusiak Funeral Chapel, Melfort, SK on September 14, 2019. The interment followed in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Columbarium.
