Judith Sylvia “Judy” Solsten was born on the family farm in the Hagen District to Lulla Nodeland and Kristian Messna. Judy took her schooling at Hagen, Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute at Outlook, and the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Judy became a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant to which she dedicated a large part of her life at the Melfort Union Hospital.

Judy married Arnold Solsten in July of 1954. To this union they welcomed three children, Murray, Julie, and John.

Judy spent the majority of her life on their farm in the Bagley District where they raised their family.

Judy was a devote member of the Lutheran Church, committed to helping others and dedicated to the word of God. For many years, she was well known in the area for sharing her gift of music.

Judy was predeceased by her husband Arnold, her grandson Joshua, her parents Lulla Nodeland and Kristian Messna, her brother Bertram Nodeland, her sisters Bernice Zeigler, and Olive Manson.

Judy leaves to mourn her children; Murray (Joy), Julie, and John, her grandsons; Kris, Tyler, Leigh, Jacob and Warner, and her great grandsons Kayl and Jay. She also leaves her sister Lyla Dalen, brother Harold (Laura) Nodeland, and niece Lynne (Joe) Nastiuk who provided her love and support over the years. Shelley Edwards who held a special place in her heart as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judy was loved and will be missed.

A Private Family Service will be held for Judy.
