Kevin passed away March 31, 2024 at the age of 52 with his spouse Valerie and stepson Andrew by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the second child of Dennis and Ellen Pederson.
He attended school in several places including Hudson Bay, Melfort, Birch Hills and Lloydminster. Kevin worked many different jobs including construction, framing houses, installing flooring, as a picker buying and selling, operating heavy duty equipment, concrete but his true calling was trucking. He worked for several companies hauling fuel, grain, gravel, asphalt, concrete, liquid fertilizer and finally his latest endeavor of hauling logs to Weyerhauser in Hudson Bay and Edgewood in Carrot River.
In August 2009 Kevin met Valerie and the two were inseparable ever since. They decided on the country life and he loved the lifestyle. Kevin loved having the freedom to pursue his passions for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, quadding, and snowmobiling to mention a few. He was never without a pet as he had a real love for animals and treated them like his children.
Kevin was so proud of his nephews and niece. He loved watching Travin play hockey, listening to Brandon play his guitar, boasting about Bryton’s carpentry skills and watching Trayelle grow into the wonderful mother she has become. He was exceptionally proud of Andrew and bragged about his hockey days and his skills in the plumbing trade to anyone that would listen.
As everyone knows, Kevin loved to drive anything that had wheels. Many, many hours were spent with family and friends on the dirt roads and blacktop. He loved life and always lived it to the fullest.
Kevin was predeceased by his father Dennis and mother Ellen. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his soulmate Valerie Hanson (nee Jackson), stepson Andrew Jackson, sister Tracy (Brian) Hovland, sister Tina Pederson as well as several nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, relatives and many friends.
