Laurie Marie Zosel (Edgington) passed away suddenly from this life on November 1, 2019 at the Melfort Union Hospital. She was born on July 5, 1960 in Melfort, SK to Charles and Betty (Jones) Edgington of Star City, SK.
Laurie married Bryce Zosel on October 20, 1984 in Star City, SK. She left behind her husband Bryce, three children and their spouses, Stacey, Charles, Amanda, and five grandchildren, Monique, Brooke, Nathan, Alivia, and Lukas.
Laurie and Bryce, once married, proceeded to run the farm near Pleasantdale, SK. This involved beekeeping, grain farming, and running the Zosel Tree Farm. Laurie loved working with the trees and all the beautiful roses and perennials. She also had a passion for drawing landscapes and the Zosel Tree Farm is well known throughout the northeast for their landscape jobs.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family and close friends. She loved watching her grandchildren Nathan and Lukas play hockey every winter, her granddaughter Brooke play basketball, and her granddaughter Alivia dance. She organized many family get togethers, and was already planning a Zosel reunion for next summer.
Besides spending time with family and friends, Laurie had a passion for travelling, solving puzzles, doing sudukos/crosswords, and attending concerts. Some of the places she has travelled to have been Europe, Hawaii, and Mexico just to name a few. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake in the summer, particularly Waskesiu.
Laurie was well known for the ability to sense when people needed help. She was generous with her time, always babysitting the grandchildren, and always lending a hand, and always there for her family and friends. She touched many lives with her generosity, her kind and compassionate personality, and her passion for life.
Those left to celebrate Laurie’s life are: her husband of 35 years Bryce; their children and their families; Stacey (Asya) Zosel, Nathan, Alivia, and Lukas; Charles Zosel, Monique and Brooke; Amanda (Russell Getzlaf) Zosel; her mother Betty Edgington; brother Kerwin Edgington; brother Darrell Edgington; sister Connie (Kelly) Birkland; sister-in-law Joanne Edgington; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
